Fourth Tuesday
Fourth Tuesday is the Health Initiative’s social network for women. It is more than 25 years old and a vibrant, diverse organization that operates in Atlanta and surrounding areas. It is perhaps our best-recognized community effort and evidence that we view community as an essential part of health and wellness.
Fourth Tuesday began in 1986 in Atlanta. It was founded by a handful of business women who met regularly to network and support each other professionally and personally. Through the years, Fourth Tuesday has adapted to meet the current needs and desires of the Georgia LGBTQ community. At the core it remains a key way of building healthy social networks.
About 60 women attend Fourth Tuesday happy hours each month. Join us at Mixx on the second Friday, 6-8pm. To find out about that and other events, log on to our Facebook page or call 404-688-2524.

Real Bois Talk – “Trayvon Martin…This Could Be U”7:00 pm – 9:30 pm
As many will notice, Trayvon Martin has faded out of our front page news, but has the situation? NO!
Just because the man who killed this young man was arrested, it is not over. Furthermore, this type of situation affects many African American, Masculine Identified Gay women. Every day, we potentially face violence to our bodies or to our spirits, simply by being who were are.
This topic will encourage us to explore and discuss racism and discrimination against our masculinity in the workplace, on the streets and at the church. Please join us May 24th @ 7pm The Rush Center.
