Noon –  Yoga with the Curvy Yogini: Stacey Beth Shulman, M.Ed. RYT IAYT is a tantric hatha yoga teacher and yoga therapist in the Atlanta area. Her mission as a yoga teacher and yoga therapist is to help people of all shapes and sizes connect to their bodies and enrich their lives through gentle movement and yoga-based bodywork. She received her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2009 from Yoganand Michael Carroll of Pranakriya Yoga and has continued her studies of the therapeutic applications of yoga, completing certifications in trauma sensitive Yoga, Positional Release yoga therapy, prenatal yoga, and, most recently, Pink Ribbon Recuperative Yoga for breast cancer patients and survivors. LEARN MORE ABOUT THE CURVY YOGINI

2PM –  Advance Directives: Same-sex couples can’t marry in Georgia….yet, but until then there are ways to protect your family. In 2007, Georgia Equality led the campaign which resulted in the passage of the Georgia Advance Directive for Healthcare , a state law securing the right of same-sex partners to ride in ambulances and have hospital visitation, among other protections. Atlanta Attorney Christopher Seely and volunteers from the Georgia Benefits Counsel will explain the forms, answer questions, and help you fill out the paperwork.

2:30PM   PeachCare for Kids: West End Medical will discuss the PeachCare for Kids program, who qualifies, and how to get enrolled. Utilizing this program for your family can cut back on costly monthly insurance premiums and provide your children (up to age 19) with quality care. Don’t assume your family doesn’t qualify, come out and learn the ropes and let West End Medical navigate the “red tape” for you.
